Privacy Policy
Who we are
Saachi is operated by Saachi ("we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at support@saachi.ai.
What we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — required to create an account and verify your identity.
- Company name — optional, collected at signup for your account profile.
- Password — stored as a one-way hash. We cannot recover or read your password.
- Files and documents you upload — processed to build your knowledge base. Stored on our servers only for as long as your account exists.
- Query content — the questions you ask are sent to our AI inference provider (Groq) to generate responses. See Third Parties below.
- Usage data — we log query counts and token usage per account to enforce plan limits. We do not track browsing behavior or build advertising profiles.
- Google account email — if you connect Google Drive, we store your Google email address and OAuth tokens to maintain the connection. We access only the Drive files you explicitly select for import.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or session recording tools.
How we use your data
- To create and manage your account.
- To process and index the documents you upload.
- To answer your queries using your uploaded content.
- To send transactional emails (email verification, team invites). We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.
- To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
Third parties
We share data with the following third parties to operate the service:
- Groq — our AI inference provider. Your query text and relevant document excerpts are sent to Groq to generate responses. Groq's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
- Resend — used to send transactional emails (verification, invites). Your email address is shared with Resend for this purpose only.
- Akamai Cloud (Linode) — our hosting provider. Your data is stored on servers in the United States.
We do not sell your data to any third party, ever.
Google Drive
If you choose to connect Google Drive, we request read-only access to your Drive. We use this access solely to allow you to select and import files you choose into Saachi. We do not scan, store, or access any Drive content beyond what you explicitly select for import. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from your account settings, which immediately revokes our access and deletes your stored tokens.
Saachi's use of data received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data retention and deletion
You are in control of your data:
- Deleting a file — removes the file, all extracted text, and all vector embeddings from our systems immediately.
- Deleting a collection — removes all files, embeddings, and associated data in that collection immediately.
- Deleting your account — permanently and irrecoverably deletes your account, all team members, all collections, all files, all embeddings, all usage history, and all stored tokens. Nothing is retained.
Account deletion is available from the Team settings page. If you need assistance, contact us at support@saachi.ai and we will complete the deletion within 7 days.
Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to your collections is restricted to your account and any team members you explicitly invite.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage to store your session token (JWT) so you stay logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party cookies.
Children
Saachi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Saachi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
